Jo Harper

CEO

(She/ Her/ Hers)

 Jo is a values-driven leader with more than 20 years’ experience across youth mental health and community services in Western Australia. She is passionate about improving access to support for young people and creating services that are safe, inclusive, and responsive to their needs.

Jo has worked across a range of not-for-profit organisations, leading teams and services that support young people and their families. She is known for building strong, collaborative teams, strengthening service quality, and ensuring young people’s voices are heard and reflected in the way services are designed and delivered.

She brings experience working in partnership with government and the broader sector to deliver sustainable, high-quality services that respond to community needs. With a background in psychology and leadership, Jo combines clinical understanding with strategic thinking to support strong, accountable organisations.

Jo is committed to working alongside teams, partners, and the community to create environments where young people feel supported, valued, and able to thrive.

Dani Wright Toussaint

Youth Services Manager - Mental Health

(They/ Them/ Theirs)

Dani has worked in human services supporting young people experiencing mental health challenges and systemic barriers for over 20 years. Prior to their time at PICYS Dani achieved a Bachelor of Social Science with Honours from Edith Cowan University, was the Freedom Centre Coordinator for 10 years and worked on the Telethon Kids Institute TransPathways research project. Dani has a dedicated history of volunteering on the Living Proud Board, the LGBTIQ Health Australia Board and as the founding Chair of their MindOut Mental Health & Suicide Prevention initiative Working Group.

In 2018 Dani started at PICYS as the Trans Homelessness Pathways project officer and has since worked as a youth worker in HouseHold Network and Pillar before becoming the Pillar Coordinator and Youth Services Manager - Mental Health, managing the establishment of the Drug Education Support Service in 2023.

Dani volunteers with Environment House's Cycling Without Age initiative and Rainbow Futures WA's Steering Group. They love spending time with their family, bird watching and being out in nature.

Maddii Bovell

Youth Services Manager - Homelessness

(She/ Her/ Hers)

Maddii is passionate about addressing youth homelessness, bringing dedication and experience in the Youth Sector since 2017. With a Bachelor of Behavioural Science and a Minor in Counselling, she has a strong foundation for supporting young people facing homelessness and mental health challenges. Maddii began her career working directly with youth in both accommodation and case management before beginning her role coordinating the Household Network at PICYS in 2022. Outside of work, Maddii loves spending time with friends and family, in particular her nieces and nephews and her dogs - Milo and Halli. Maddii also enjoys many different types of crafts and getting out and about in nature.

Hina Stevens

Finance and Operations Manager

(She/ Her/ Hers)

Hina has spent over 30 years working in bookkeeping, with a particular passion for supporting not-for-profit organisations, especially those involved in independent living. Giving back is important to Hina, and she volunteers her time with an organisation that supports people with disabilities.

When Hina isn't working or volunteering, she loves spending time with her daughters, who are a constant source of support and inspiration in her life.
