PICYS run weekly and monthly group sessions to support young people’s wellbeing. Be Well, Be Active, Roar music, Base Camp aGender, The SESH (Substance use Education, Support and Harm minimisation), and more.

BaseCamp aGender

Saturdays once a month – contact PICYS for details

Base Camp aGender is a monthly drop-in space for trans and gender diverse young people who are experiencing homelessness and disconnect from family. It’s a place to be with peers and be themselves in a safe and supportive space.

Base Camp aGender is run by trans and gender diverse peers who are experienced and qualified support workers. We aim to support trans and gender diverse young people’s safety, wellbeing, resilience and connectedness to communities and homelessness services.

The SESH (Substance use Education, Support and Harm minimisation)

Fortnightly on Wednesdays 1-2pm

An alcohol and other drugs education, support and harm minimisation group for any young people. Topics vary and suggestions/ requests welcome.

Be Well

Fortnightly on Wednesdays 1-2:30pm

An education and discussion group for young people to work on their mental health in a supportive environment. Attendance by expression of interest or sign up with PICYS staff.

Weekly on Fridays 1-2:30

A Group focused on movement and physical wellbeing to explore various ways to be active.

Saturdays once a month – contact PICYS for details

Fun activities in the community organised by PICYS for PICYS young people to connect and have enjoy yourself. Sign up required.

Be Seen and Be Heard

Sign up required, group meeting schedule varies

Join forces with other PICYS young people to do what makes you Be Seen and Be Heard! This group is by invite and is focused on supporting young people’s advocacy skills, creativity and expression. Projects are decided upon by the group and may involve participation in community projects and co-design of PICYS initiatives.

Roar Music

Weekly on Fridays 11am-1pm

PICYS’ music group, open to everyone regardless of music experience or ability.
