PICYS' accessibility information

PICYS Accessibility Info

PICYS is an old house built in the 1920s that was renovated to become wheelchair accessible in 2022. The front and side entry doors are wheelchair accessible, and the back garden is wheelchair accessible via the side gate. One of the toilets is wheelchair accessible and one is ambulant accessible.

PICYS provides spaces in the building that are lower noise and low light rooms with comfortable areas, fidgets and weighted blankets. Most rooms throughout the building can be made low light too.

We strive to be as accessible to all groups as possible through these measures and are always keen to get feedback for ways we can improve. We will make any adjustments we can for people at PICYS to ensure they can access our services and feel safe, comfortable and included.

PICYS Parking Access Info

PICYS doesn't have parking routinely available, however we can arrange an accessible parking bay upon request. Contact us to arrange accessible parking bay if needed for your visit to PICYS or to meet with one of our youth workers.

PICYS acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land where we work and live, the Whadjuk people of the Noongar Nation and pay our respects to Elders past and present. We celebrate the stories, culture and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders of all communities who also work and live on this land.

PICYS is committed to embracing diversity, advocating for human rights, and eliminating all forms of discrimination through education and community connection. PICYS welcomes all people, is respectful of individuals and their identities, and stands with those facing discrimination. In current times it’s important specifically to acknowledge that Trans Rights are Human Rights and everyone has the right to health care that affirms who they are.
