PICYS has a small team of paid employees with a low staff turnover yet we are always keen to hear from people who would like to work in Youth Services.
When we have vacancies we promote these through Ethical Jobs and/or SEEK to give broad public access. We compliment using Ethical Jobs and SEEK by also sharing the advertisement with PEAK organisations such as Youth Affairs Council WA (YACWA) and WA Association of Mental Health (WAAMH) and Western Australian Council of Social Services (WACOSS).
Students are also welcome to apply for their study placements or internships. PICYS considers student placements as an important aspect of the Community Services Industry development and the professional development of the student. PICYS provides a fantastic learning environment with professional and experienced staff.
Volunteers are also welcome, we do have a volunteer’s agreement and code of conduct we enter into with people who may be participating in our operational activities and may have contact with young people engaged with PICYS.
All Staff, students and volunteers are required to provide a recent National Police Clearance, Working with Children’s Check and referees for us to contact.
